Rules

1. Competition will be organized in two rounds. 1^st round on Friday March 1^st and Saturday 2^nd and 2^nd round (final) on March 3^rd at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
2. Competition is open to all classical guitarists of any nationalities but must have an attachment to Norway, either by residens/studies or birth place. There is no age limit in the competition.
3. The scores will be given using a point system ranging from 0 to 25. Competitors are judged on their musicianship, technique, stage presence and programming.
4. The highest and the lowest points of each candidate will be discounted when the points are added together to calculate their score.
5. Jury members cannot give points to their own students. If a jury member has been teaching a competitor during the last three years, the jury member is excluded from giving points to that competitor. In this case the average of the remaining points will be calculated and added to the total.
6. 4-6 candidates with the highest points will be chosen to the final from the first round.
7. All pieces must be performed by heart.
8. Works performed in the 1^st round cannot be performed again in the 2^nd round
9. Timing will start from the point when the competitor sits down.
10. The decision of the jury is final.
